Barış Berk Erdem, CEO
Barış Berk Erdem is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from METU (2007). He began his career as a system safety engineer at TUSAŞ, contributing to flight safety and safety process development in major projects like Erciyes, Arı, and Hürkuş. In 2013, he enhanced his technical and managerial capabilities with a master’s degree in Engineering Management. Over the years, he held critical roles in the defense industry—joining the Hürkuş Systems Engineering team in 2014, managing land vehicle safety at FNSS (2016–2020), supporting aircraft certification at TR Airworthiness (2020–2022), and leading engineering operations at TASECS (2022–2025).
Currently, he is the founder and CEO of SafeSis Engineering Inc., where he leads innovation-driven engineering projects with a focus on customer satisfaction. Fluent in English, Barış actively participates in international collaborations and contributes to the sector with his analytical mindset and solution-oriented approach. A married father of two, he is a forward-thinking professional who values responsibility, reliability, and lifelong learning, aiming to advance both his company and the broader industry.

Barış Berk Erdem, CEO
Barış Berk Erdem is a 40-year-old experienced engineer and entrepreneur. After graduating from Middle East Technical University, Department of Aerospace Engineering in 2007, he started his career as a system safety engineer at TUSAŞ. During this period, he performed important tasks regarding flight safety especially in the Erciyes, Arı and Hürkuş projects and contributed to the development of safety processes.
In 2013, he tried to gain a broad perspective by reinforcing both technical and managerial skills with his master’s degree in Industrial Engineering Engineering Management Program. In the later years of his business life, Barış Berk assumed responsibilities in different areas of the defense industry; He took part in the Hürkuş Systems Engineering team in 2014; Between 2016 and 2020, he ensured that land vehicles were designed in accordance with safety standards as the product safety unit manager at FNSS; Between 2020 and 2022, he contributed to the certification processes of various aircraft at TR Airworthiness; Then, between 2022 and 2025, he worked as an engineering manager at TASECS, coordinating the design and implementation of critical system components.
Aiming to be an example in his own fields of expertise, Barış Berk operates as the founder and CEO of SafeSis Engineering Inc. He builds his company on engineering processes designed with the principle of producing innovative solutions and keeping customer satisfaction at the highest level. While his good command of English allows him to take an active role in international projects, he aims to contribute to all stakeholders with his analytical mindset and solution-oriented approach.
Barış Berk, who is also married and has two children, is a responsible engineer with a vision of using technology for people, who knows how important it is to be a reliable professional both in business life and in his social environment, and who aims to carry both his company and the sector further with his desire for continuous learning and passion for the future.
